One Small Thing Your Young Adult Can Do Each Morning to Change Their Day!
Aug 25, 2024Here at Extraordinary Purpose, we teach Young Adults that what they do first thing in the morning heavily influences what happens that day (and what doesn't), as well as the results that they get (or don't).
Which is why one of the most important rituals that we help our clients develop, implement, and practice every day is their morning routine. When Young Adults have a positive and healthy morning routine, they put their mind, body, and spirit into the position to have a more intentional, productive, and rewarding day.
Let's work together to help your Young Adult starting have great days!
One powerful activity that we highly recommend as part of a morning routine is a daily visualization exercise. When young adults know what's important to them, and take a few minutes to connect with it first thing in the morning, their motivation, confidence, and focus all come together to get them prepared to have a successful day.
The connection to what's important to them is what makes everything possible. Without it, nothing is possible.
Visualization is an intentional ritual that shapes and focuses the mind, preparing it for the challenges, goals, and opportunities that lie ahead. By visualizing a successful day, young adults can cultivate a positive mindset that empowers them to face whatever comes their way with confidence and clarity.
Maybe most importantly it gets them looking forward to and excited about their day ahead. By doing this exercise in the morning it puts them right where they need to be: present, mindful, and focused on what they truly care about the most.
Incorporating a morning visualization exercise starts with just a few minutes of quiet reflection each morning. Young adults can begin by finding a calm space where they won’t be interrupted. Once settled, they can close their eyes and take a few deep breaths to center themselves. Then, they should visualize their day ahead, imagining how they want to feel, what they want to achieve, and how they will handle any challenges. The key is to focus on positive outcomes and to picture the day unfolding exactly as they hope it will.
A morning visualization exercise is a simple yet profoundly effective way for young adults to start their day on the right foot. By taking a few moments each morning to visualize their day, they can set a positive tone, enhance their focus and motivation, and build the confidence they need to succeed.
