Hey Parents,
No matter what challenges your young adult faces:
- Overwhelm
- Fear
- Distraction/Lack of focus
- Low energy
- Feeling stuck
- No confidence
- No direction
Helping them find their Purpose will help them overcome those challenges and see the way forward.
Because....seeing the way forward changes everything!
When we say "forward", we mean in the direction of their values, passions, goals, and their special ingredients that make them unique, confident, and extraordinary.
Finding their Purpose is a going to be a transformative journey that will help them connect with the things that will provide the necessary motivation, energy, focus, and creativity to bring them and their potential to life. The process of finding their Purpose requires a few key components, which we help young adults practice every day. They are: mindfulness and awareness, curiosity and exploration, and a growth mindset focused on learning, growth, and self-discovery. Here are three of the steps that we help young adult's nurture to help them discovery the beautiful path to their inspiring purpose:
1. Becoming More Present and Mindful
Here at Extraordinary Purpose Life Coaching for Teens and Young Adult's, Purpose begins with awareness. We coach young adults on how to become more present in their daily lives, checking-in with themselves throughout the day, disconnecting from technology and distractions, and connecting with their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Each time they do this they are learning how to get control back over their lives, how to create positive relationships with their thoughts and feelings, and learning more about who they are authentically and what's important to them.
2. Discovering Who They Authentically Are
Your Young Adult is amazing and one-of-a-find. We know this, you know this, and now it's time for them to see (and believe) that for themselves. For young adults to find their Purpose, they must first understand who they are at their core. This involves exploring their values, strengths, special qualities, and passions. Authenticity comes from being honest with oneself and clear on who they are, what they stand for, and what they believe in —embracing their unique qualities and desires, rather than conforming to societal expectations. In fact something that we tell young adult's every day is that the real secret to happiness is to never hold themselves back, and instead practice leaning into these special ingredients. Only then will they feel fully alive. By nurturing self-awareness and becoming more present, young adults can see these parts of themselves much more clearly, and make different choices that align their actions and behaviors with their true identity, which paves the way towards purpose.
3. Leaning Into Curiosity and Exploring Interests
There is still so much for young adult's to learn about who they are, and curiosity plays such an important role in their growth and happiness. Encouraging young adults to engage in activities that pique their interest can help them uncover hidden passions and talents. Whether it's trying out a new hobby, volunteering, joining a new club or group, meeting new people, or pursuing different career paths, this experimentation helps them discover what they love and what energizes them. Most importantly it helps them learn more about the world and themselves. All of which leads you closer to your Purpose.
